Miss 4 and Master 2 have both shown signs of disregarding what they perceive to be the wrong gendered toy. “I’m not playing with that, doll’s are for girls”. My son, at 18 months would happily dance around in a tutu, now at 2 he will only wear superhero costumes. I find this very interesting as these gendered ideals have come from external sources, either commercial marketing or from their peers.
